Privacy Policy

• Account Information: Full name and email address (collected at registration).
• Audio Recordings: Processed temporarily for transcription purposes; not stored.
• Documents: Text documents you create are stored and linked to your account.
• Usage Data: Daily usage count and subscription plan information.
• Payment Information: When you subscribe to a Premium plan, billing details (name, email, and payment method) are processed securely by our third-party payment processor, Polar. We do not store your full payment card details on our servers.

We use the following third-party AI services to power our core features:

• OpenAI (Whisper) for converting your voice recordings into text
• An automatic AI model routing system for text refinement features (summarization, tone adjustment, grammar correction)

Only the audio or text you submit within the app is sent to these AI providers — we never share your Gmail inbox content, existing Google Docs, or any other Google Account data with these or any other third-party service. Audio files are deleted after processing. We recommend avoiding sensitive personal information in texts processed through these services.

Payment processing is handled by Polar, our Merchant of Record. Please refer to Polar's own privacy policy for details on how they process your payment data.

We do not sell your personal data to any third party. We do not share your data with advertising networks, data brokers, or analytics services beyond what is necessary to operate and improve Pangolic.

Pangolic uses a single Google connection to power two features: sending emails through your Gmail account and saving documents to Google Docs.

• Gmail (gmail.send): Used only to send emails on your behalf when you initiate a send action. We do not access, read, or modify your inbox, contacts, drafts, labels, or any other Gmail data.
• Google Drive (drive.file): Grants access only to files that Pangolic creates — including the Google Docs documents we create for you. We cannot see, read, edit, or delete any of your existing documents or any other files in your Drive.

Your Google authorization tokens are stored securely and used solely for the actions described above. You can disconnect your Google account at any time from the Settings page, which immediately revokes our access.

The use of raw or derived user data received from Google Workspace APIs will adhere to the Google User Data Policy, including the Limited Use requirements.
